Security Camera Shows 17-Month-Old Falling Into Pool - Inspirational Videos

As the summertime comes around, the kids are all ready to play and have some fun. There are a lot of great memories made during this time but there can also be hidden dangers that all parents should be aware of. This nightmare became a reality for Tanah Zuniga when her 17-month-old son fell into the family’s above ground pool.

It was all captured on a surveillance camera as the little boy and his 2-year-old cousin were able to unlock the door and wander outside. The 2-year-old climbed up the ladder to the pool and his little cousin followed after him. The heart wrenching video shows the small boy going right under the water and his cousin trying to pull him up. But his efforts were not working, so the cousin walked back into the house and alerted the parents.

That’s when you see both women rush outside and desperately grab the 17-month-old. "When we pulled him out of the water, he was already gone. He was completely blue. His lips were white. He was not moving. He was not breathing," Tanah said. Tanah’s sister, Karly, had previous CPR training, so she immediately went to work on the baby. Thankfully, he began to cough and breath on his own before the paramedics arrived. The toddler was then rushed to the hospital for additional treatment but was able to make a full recovery.

Tanah recalls the moment by saying, "God brought my baby back. I truly believe that.” This is such a scary situation but an important warning for all of the parents out there that pools can be a dangerous risk for young children. Please take the proper precautions to make sure that something like this never happens to your child.
