Benedictine Nuns-Le Barroux
The community of Benedictine nuns of Our Lady of the Annunciation is born 1979. Four young girls were gathered around Mother Elizabeth and, following Dom Gérard, wanted to also "experience the Churches tradition." After moving to different locations, they can turn to find common ground near the town of Le Barroux in 1983.
After the first stage of work, installation, even though precarious, is possible in 1987. The monastery is recognized canonically by the Holy See in 1989 and erected into an abbey in 1992.
Mother Elizabeth receives Abbatial the blessing of the hands of Cardinal Mayer. As founder who later renounced this Charge , and in 2000, Mother Placide (of Polish origin) was then elected to succeed her. She carries out the end of construction, especially the Church, which was consecrated on 12 May 2005 by Cardinal Medina, who came as Special Envoy of Pope Benedict XVI.
The Nuns are served by Priest-Monks from the Abbey de St Madeleine., Le Barroux which is 30 kms away.Holy Mass is Celebrated in the Traditional "Extraordinary Form"
The nuns publish a quarterly newsletter, "La Font de Pertusa - Letter of Nuns." They develop Binderies of silk weaving and manufacturing confitures. Gregorian Chants CD,but mostly praising God, and perpetual intercession for His people, and the Salvation of Souls

A Prayer of Comfort for Families Missing Their Fallen Military Heroes - Your Daily Prayer - May 27
Because the general public views them as fallen heroes deserving of patriotic honor, many may mistakenly think that this somehow helps to soften the blow of the loss to their family members. But for many families, it can be extremely difficult to accept and process, especially because their passing is without warning, unexpected, and with no opportunity to say goodbye.
