My month in Haiti - December 2009/January 2010
Last Christmas break, I spent a month in Haiti. The first 3 weeks were in Port-au-Prince and the last week was in Cap-Haitien. Ever since I first went to Haiti, I have never been the same. I came home changed and that happens after every trip. To me, it truly is...home. The last song on this video is a group of kids in Little Guinea at a Christian camp that we started in 2007 singing Here I am to Worship in Creole. They sing beautifully and I miss all of them. I hope that you will be as moved by this video as I am. Thank you.

A Prayer of Comfort for Families Missing Their Fallen Military Heroes - Your Daily Prayer - May 27
Because the general public views them as fallen heroes deserving of patriotic honor, many may mistakenly think that this somehow helps to soften the blow of the loss to their family members. But for many families, it can be extremely difficult to accept and process, especially because their passing is without warning, unexpected, and with no opportunity to say goodbye.
