In the arms of the angels
Tribute to my son and his platoon who were deployed in Iraq for 15 months-they got home in March of 2009 and are re-deploying March of 2010. My impression of a day in the life. The picture of the long table of computers is particularly meaningful to me - they wait in line, those computers being their lifeline to home with thier loved one's IMing on the other end. Most of these videos and pictures were taken by my son and his friends-others were from an imbedded reporter that was with thier platoon.
They have such enormous responsibility, they've gone through so much-what were our worries when we were 19 or 20. A heartfelt thank you to all our military and their families.

A Prayer When it Feels Like You're Always in Conflict - Your Daily Prayer - June 1
This is what we need when we are stuck… a miracle! May you find the strength to go to the Lord once again and seek his will for your life. Let him do what only he can do.
