Feeble Flesh

Paul's Thorny Question Part 2 - M. H. Dennis Galatians 4:13-15 (BBE) But you have knowledge that with a feeble body I was preaching the good news to you the first time; And you did not have a poor opinion of me because of the trouble in my flesh, or put shame on it; but you took me to your hearts as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus. Where then is that happy condition of yours? Because I give you witness, that, if possible, you would have taken out your eyes and given them to me. Paul mentioned that when he first preached the good news to the Galatians he was having problems with his eyes, but what caused it? Acts 14:19-20 (NET) But Jews came from Antioch and Iconium, and after winning the crowds over, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, presuming him to be dead. But after the disciples had surrounded him, he got up and went back into the city. On the next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe. Paul had just been stoned in Lystra. In stoning, the face and eyes are key targets. He would probably have had bloody and bruised eyes from this stoning. Galatians 3:13 (NET) Disease and sickness is included in the curse of the law. Leviticus 26 :16 (NET) Deuteronomy 28 :21 (NET) Even in the same epistle of Galatians that some claim that Paul had a wasting eye disease. Paul taught that we have been redeemed from disease, diminished eyesight, and sickness, which are included in the curse of the law.
