We Cannot Be Separated from God

We Cannot Be Separated from God

Whatever the rock, dirt, or other debris that has separated you from the life you were meant to live cannot separate you from God, because the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord is not material—it is spiritual. In other words, you cannot be separated from God. You can only ignore Him.

“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:37–39 NKJV)
If I'm sitting here in my office, buried under a pile of destructive thoughts and feelings, I can't escape my misery by trying to connect with God through positive thoughts and feelings. Yes, it is always good to seek positive experiences—but seeking positive experiences is not faith.
If I'm buried under anything, no matter where I go (physically or mentally), I will still be buried—until I realize where God is.
And He is here—in me, with me, surrounding me. Wherever I am, He is here. While my physical senses can't tell me this, faith tells me that He is here—right here, right now.
