Officer “Popsey” Floyd and 10-year-old Adrienne Burke have a special relationship. This police officer attends father-daughter dances with her and it's meant the world to this little girl. Katie Burke, Adrienne’s mom, is a single mother of four children and does not have any family close by.

So, Officer Floyd has made himself available to give fatherly advice whenever it's needed. He's even become a part of their family and they refer to him as “Uncle Floyd.” When Adrienne was having a hard time, Katie called Uncle Floyd and he sat down and talked to her.
