We all have different histories of our relationship with God over the course of our lives. Some never have a relationship ship at all. Others go for decades with no relationship, and then suddently eyes are opened. Others come to know God at an early age, and then drift away once high school, college, marriage, or career hit. Others live a roller-coaster experience, or yo-yo experience. For a period of time they are close to God, and then God is far away. No matter the experience, there is one constant: God has always been there and will always be there. If the intimacy of our relationship with God wavers, or doesn't exist at all, it's not because of God, it's because of us. This song is about the roller-coaster experience.
