Pastor Jon Dunbar: "Learning to Pray"
The words that Jesus gives us to pray shape the way we think about God. He’s not just “God” – a distant, all-powerful force; He’s our Father – a loving and dedicated provider. Jesus’ words also shape our priorities. Before focusing on ourselves, we first direct our attention to the Father and what belongs to Him. The Lord’s Prayer continues to be a “teaching prayer” today. Pray the familiar words – slowly – this week and ask yourself, “What is Jesus trying to teach me?”
