Israel is home to more than 60,000 Ethiopian Jews, many of whom arrived as refugees with little formal education and even less exposure to modern technology. Shepherds in their homeland, they entered a bustling, modern society. The Jerusalem College of Technology is reaching out to the Ethiopian community, offering programs in accounting, computer science, engineering, etc. to help them enter Israel's high-tech economy.
