The average person will spend 9 years of their life watching television. Who is talking to us for those 9 years? Their messages mould our hearts and minds. They form our attitudes, appetites, values and views. Those who create and control the messages and the media today will shape the views and values of present and future generations. Let them be followers of the living God, with messages of truth and life. This vision is within our reach. Since 1979, the "Jesus" film* has been watched over 5 billion times worldwide in 800 different languages. As a result, almost 200 million decisions to accept Christ as personal Saviour and Lord have been reported. To see the effect of movies on a culture one only has to look to the incredible impact Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ” made after it’s release in 2004.
