For the Widows in Paradise (a capella)

For the Widows in Paradise (a capella)

This is my a capella arrangement of Sufjan Stevens' "For the Widows in Paradise, for the Fatherless in Ypsilanti." I've heard that the song is a reflection on Christ's agony in Gethsemane, so I wanted this rendition to be accompanied by beautiful images of life, light, and love.

Sufjan, if you ever see this, I hope you like it. I was told that my cell phone number was passed on to your assistant, so feel free to give me a call sometime. I'd love to chat. Instruments: 12 voices (all of which are my own), 3 flutes (courtesy of Garage Band's excellent "software instrument" options and "musical typing" feature), and 1 Rice Bowl box full of change (mostly pennies)
