Baby’s Adorable Fail at First Sledding Attempt
Most people have an adoration and a fondness for babies. They love holding them, feeding them and, in general, just spending time with them. As the Bible says in Psalm 127:3, “See, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”
One couple recently took their little gift from God sledding and things did not go quite as planned, as the video shows. Instead, the family’s outdoor outing left the child’s mother laughing hysterically.
Parents want to be around for and experience their child’s first everything. When the kid says their first word, takes their first step, gets their first haircut or goes off to school for the first time, mom and dad want to be there. So it makes perfect sense, as a video shows, that a baby’s mother and father were recording their child’s first time sledding.
The hilarious video begins with the child, all bundled up, nearly covered from head to toe, sitting in a small, plastic, red sled atop a small hill. Mom, who can be seen standing off to the left in the video, gets the sledding experience underway as she gently pulls on the sled’s string.
A few feet later, the sledding experience is over as the sled comes to a stop. However, while the sled halts, the baby doesn’t stop. Instead, the child adorably and slowly falls out of the sled, lands on the ground and gets a face full of snow.
Mom is quick to pick up her pride and joy out of the snow but is momentarily rendered speechless as she’s laughing so hard at her child’s tumble out of the sled.
As the mom knocks snow off her child’s face and asks if the infant is OK, the child doesn’t react to her fall. Surprisingly, though, the child is unphased. The infant sheds no tears or anything.
Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Imagine the beauty of this season if we embraced showing up without asking, speaking to effort and not just results, giving permission to not be okay, and praying for moms. Let’s be people who see the graciousness and compassion of our God and long to pour it out on others.
