5 Sisters Sing With Mom on Piano – ‘A Thousand Miles’ by Cimorelli

When it comes to songs that get the cover treatment, it is hard to top “Drops of Jupiter.” For a while, it seemed everyone was putting out a version of the Train hit. However, coming in a close second for the number of covers it has generated has to be Vanessa Carlton's tune, “A Thousand Miles.” Cimorelli takes their turn singing the Carlton song.

Cimorelli, who are five sisters – Christina, Katherine, Lisa, Amy and Lauren – are joined by their mother in the video. The five sisters sing and harmonize together as their mom sits and plays the piano.

While at the piano tickling the ivories, her five daughters sit and stand behind her as they sing the 2002 song. All the girls shine as they beautifully blend their voices together for the verses and the tune’s memorable chorus.

“Do you think time would pass me by?
‘Cause you know I’d walk a thousand miles
If I could just see you tonight”

However, about 2 minutes into the video, at approximately the 1:45-minute mark in the video, they change things up a bit. Mom joins her daughters and begins singing along to the hit about someone longing to see another person.

In addition to playing the piano and like her daughters, mom can sing!

As Cimorelli mentions in the caption to the video, they got their start by singing in church. The girls sang in the church choir in addition to in barbershops and entertained the elderly at nursing homes.

The church and faith remain incredibly important to the talented young women.

“Our Christian faith guides our decisions, and we will always create content that is family friendly, while not being afraid to touch on topics that we believe are important, such as mental health and personal growth,” the description of the video reads

Psalms 89:1 “I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever: with my mouth will I make known your faithfulness to all generations.”
