Uganda Widows pray "Please don't forget us"... - Education Videos

Bright Hope recently visited 100 needy widows living in Apac, a remote area of Northern Uganda, and learned they are fighting for their very lives. They're part of Bright Hopes partnership in Uganda - an Apac local church - and are praying "Please do not forget us." Most of the women have children - and grandchildren - depending on them for daily food, clothing, shelter and education.- Most try to earn a living through farming and growing vegetables.- Most families live in mud huts with thatched roofs that leak when it rains.- Most of the women are widowed... losing their husbands to war, violence or AIDS.- And most of the women are HIV positive.These women are in a desperate battle for their very survival. They say. "Please don't forget us. We are struggling and have no one tohelp us.
