Sharing the Gospel With Someone Who Believes that Science is the Answer
This is part 2 of a conversation with someoen who told me that to believe God she'd have to have Richard Dawkins standing there to confirm it. I find it incredible how someone will tell Christians that they are mindless for believing in God, and yet they resign their intellect over to a single person because he has a science degree, as if science were a god.
But science cannot answer the laws of mathematics and why it works every time. It cannot give meaning to the romance of a Valentine dinner, the value of human life, the reality of guilt, humanity's innate desire to worship, nor principles, abstracts, concepts, and a million other elements of life that cannot be tested by science.
In Christ, we God has given sinful humans like us the answer to the mysteries of life. In Christ, science makes sense, logic becomes meaningful, and people can find ultimate redemption from their sin for which they will stand accountable on the Day of Judgment.
