On A Donkey Road Messiah
Christ comes to town lookingÂ
For certain reaction
Kids praise Him with HosannasÂ
To priest's dissatisfaction
He's riding on a coltÂ
The foal a beast of burden
Pharasees and the scribes can't believe their eyes
About to flip their turbens Â
The crowds they were a shoutin'Â
Hosanna in the Highest
The Phara-sees said 'Would you please keep your disciples quiet'? Â
But Jesus answered themÂ
That if they closed their mouths
These rocks you see would honor meÂ
And they would then cry out
On a donkey road Messiah, here He comes
The brothers He done told,Â
that He would soon be dyin'
But they were not belivin'Â Â
and soon they'd be denyin'
He came in to the Temple Â
and saw them changing cash
He got so mad they were so bad their tables He sure trashed
The Pharasees and scribes Â
they did not comprehend it
They asked Him for a sign Â
and then they were contendin'
But Jesus knew their heart, Â
to them He's a pariah
But still He came with grace,
on a donkey road Messiah
The Sadducees did test Him Â
about the resurrection
To point out some great flaw Â
and show Christ's imperfections
But Jesus answered them, Â
showed Moses did believe
But they would not receive, Â
that's why they're Sad you see
The Pharasees came too Â
asked should they pay Rome's taxes
They knew they had Him trapped Â
