Is It Just Me - Superstitions - Popular Christian Videos

Why do we second guess our decisions, delay starting journeys or new endeavours and fear the supposed consequences of unfounded and quirky superstitions? Especially when an ill omen in one culture can be viewed as a sign of good luck in another? On one hand believing in superstitions helps us feel that our troubles are explicable, changeable and NOT our fault but on the other hand it suggests we believe their is a force at work determining our fate without regard for our needs or lives. If we are prepared to believe there is an intelligent being or force directing events in the lives of men ... wouldn't it be better to investigate the veracity of that underlying presupposition and find out how and why He operates and what His agenda is?
