The Steeplechase
In God’s kingdom, we are all running a race called “life”, but who will be the winner? The good news is that God doesn’t measure your progress against anyone else. Your race is yours alone, and YES, you can win it.
With the backdrop of the famous Steeplechase horse races in NJ, Rev. Margie Fleurant reminds us that we should all run so that we receive the prize at the end of the race. Winning doesn’t require following the exact same formula for everyone, but one part of winning is knowing that you did all you could to honor and please the Lord while on the Earth. If you fall down, get detoured, or even sidelined with an injury, you will eventually reach the finish line, right on the Lord’s schedule.
Keep doing what you are doing for the Lord. Don’t give up.
