Loneliness has to be one of the worst feelings in the world. How awful would it be to believe that no one loves or cares about you? That’s why even small acts of love and kindness can have massive impacts. We can never be sure what someone else is going through. Often, people are going through something, hurting and struggling. And that is why sometimes what we believe is a small, insignificant act can be world-changing for someone else.

What does it take to be kind? Not much time and very little effort. There is a severe shortage of kindness in this world, with everyone seemingly out for themselves and caring not a whit about others' feelings and needs. But what would happen if people were more caring, kind and empathetic? How much better would this world be if people were more selfless and not constantly fixated on self?

In a clip posted on social media, a young man showed a little love and kindness to someone who likely greatly appreciated what he did. The toddler was at McDonald’s when he spotted an elderly gentleman sitting alone and eating. Instead of passing him by and acting as if he didn’t see him, the child surprisingly acted.

 The little guy grabbed his food and slid over onto the booth across from the older man. He spotted a need and acted, showing much kindness and love in the process. It’s hard to tell how much the senior citizen appreciated what that child did because loneliness is a horrible, terrible feeling. Everyone wants to know that someone cares.
