A Soldier Gets A Sweet Christmas Surprise

Good things come in small packages.
When a soldier, recently deployed, returned to his bunk he found a small box waiting for him on his bed. Catching him by surprise, he was cautious as he approached the package. What he found is so heartwarming and downright sweet, it'll melt your soul.
As he got closer, he saw the small white box had a hand-drawn picture on the top clearly drawn by a child.
On the back of the picture was a handwritten note. As you would expect, this soldier's heart was beginning to melt, especially since he would not be able to go home for Christmas.
The note read:
Dear Soldier,
Have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year and thank you for ceping us safe.
Sincerely, Dalton
And if that wasn't enough¦ the box was full of homemade Christmas cookies!!
What a beautiful way to thank a soldier for his/her sacrifice and commitment to keeping us safe and sound.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our servicemen and women. Thank you for all that you do! We hope and pray you will get to come home for the holidays!
