Photos Revealed What Couple Completely Missed During Their Child's Birth

Texas mom Brooke Ellington may have been a bit preoccupied while delivering her third child at home. But afterward, she spotted the family's loyal Corgi in birth photos from that day. And the pictures showed how the sweet pup refused to leave Brooke's side as she was giving birth!

It's hard to witness the miracle of birth and not marvel at the incredible way God has designed women's bodies. But in addition to blessing Brooke and Steven Ellington with three children, He also blessed them with an incredible fur-baby.

A year ago, the family said goodbye to their first Corgi, Ryder. The loss of their beloved pup left the couple with a "hole in their hearts." So, they adopted Ranger.

"I don't think I could love him more," Brooke said. "For only having him less than a year, he is such a big part of our family and is so loyal to all of us."

Pets are a part of the family. So, when Brooke went into labor with her daughter, Berkeley, Ranger was right by her side.

Ranger kept a close eye on Brooke as she battled through contractions.

"Every once in a while he would jump on the bed to give her a reassuring kiss to let her know she could do this," photographer Kristin Waner said. "It was a beautiful thing to watch – the bond between mom and baby and man’s best friend."

Ranger was so tender and watchful over his family during the birth, he caught the attention of photographer Kristin Waner.

"This made me take notice. It’s not something you see every day," Kristin explained. "Every moment I saw him interacting with Brooke I tried to take as many pictures as possible. I knew this was special."

Mom Touched By Loyal Corgi In Birth Photos

The pup's sweet care and concern was an important part of the home birth. But Brooke didn't quite notice just how powerful until she saw the loyal Corgi in birth photos taken by Kristin Ann Photography.

"I remember him checking in with me from time to time, but I didn't realize he was right there by my whole side the entire time until I saw the photos," Brooke said. "I was in tears seeing how loyal and curious he was."

And while it's not Kristin's first time seeing a pet take an interest during a home birth, she says she's never seen a pet stick as close as Ranger.

"You can tell he loves her more than anything and wanted to help her through her labor," she says.

Now that little Berkeley is here, Ranger is just as excited about being a good big brother!

"He follows me around and gets a sniff or lick every time I set Berkeley down," Brooke explains. "He's so protective of her always, staying close and keeping an eye on her. I think now he gets she's here to stay, so he wants to find his place in this new normal for our family."
