Judy Taya The Road to Damascus
The Road to Damascus -
words and music by Judy Taya
The Road to Damascus
Hatred embedded in his heart made of stone.
He walked with purpose down that long dusty road.
He did'nt know that his plans would soon change.
With a blinding light and the call of his name.
Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? I'm here for you if you'll let your heart see.
His world was darkened and he had to trust.
He found his Lord on the road to Damascus.
Three days later with prayer he could see
no longer hardened, forgiven and free.
He found himself once again on that road,
Protected and loved by the one he once loathed.
How does his story relates to us now -
With modern day Sauls still hanging around.
Dark hearts are looking to prove Him wrong.
Scales on their eyes, hearts full of scorn.
