I'm certain she paced the floor in tears. Questions like, "Where is He?" "What is taking so long?" "Does He not know how serious this is?" flooded her mind. Without a doubt, she was an emotional basket case. She wasn't ready to let him go. She wasn't ready to say good-bye. She wanted more time with her beloved brother and she had done all she could do. She had given him the best medical treatment available. She had been by his bedside day and night but it was all to now end. Lazarus was dying and only one man could stop it. But he was late.

I love this passage in the Bible because it sums up the spiritual reality in all difficult circumstances. How many times do we see the enemy and opposing forces against us, just like Elisha’s servant? And that puts us in a panic - yet the angelic armies of the Living God are unseen but present nonetheless, and far greater. We just need to see that substantial truth!
