Uganda 2008 Remembered
In September of 2008 a group of seven people from Bethel Christian Church in Bristol Connecticut traveled to Kampala, Uganda to help with the ministry of the Buyamba Orphan Outreach. We visited three churches in outlying areas outside of Kampala, shared with the students at God Cares School, did some street evangelism, and helped with Sunday School classes at Kabalagala Pentecostal Church. There is nothing quite like going on a short-term mission trip and experiencing a culture unlike your own while sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. As the Song says, "Little is Much when God's in it.", We only made made ourselves available for God to use and he did the work through us.

A Prayer of Comfort for Families Missing Their Fallen Military Heroes - Your Daily Prayer - May 27
Because the general public views them as fallen heroes deserving of patriotic honor, many may mistakenly think that this somehow helps to soften the blow of the loss to their family members. But for many families, it can be extremely difficult to accept and process, especially because their passing is without warning, unexpected, and with no opportunity to say goodbye.
