Columbia Choral Society on Washington's Birthday, 22 February a.d. 2008 and the Son-day following, 24 February, performed Testament of Freedom, the words of Thomas Jefferson set to music by University of Virginia music professor Randall Thompson in a.d. 1943 for the Bicentennial of the Birth of Thomas Jefferson. The songs begin with an introduction by "Thomas Jefferson LIVES!" with the Living History by James Renwick Manship, Sr. of Mount Vernon, Virginia.
