Don't Call Me A Hero

Don't Call Me A Hero

Dedicated to all first responders, and to the little ones. May we all find peace...

In December 1986, Canadian singer/songwriter and former firefighter, Don Murdock received Canada's Medal of Bravery from Governor General Jeanne Sauve for actions during 2 fire events, including the one in this song.

For years Don rode the rescue truck with the Fire Department and during that time witnessed many terrible and tragic things, but none affected him as much as the events of a fire that occurred in March of 1985. Don't Call Me A Hero honors the memory of a small child and fulfills a silent promise he made to a little girl who became an angel that night.
