' I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever.' Hence, bread signifies doctrine, also moral qualities, which are nourished by sound doctrine. 1 Cor. v. 8. ' The unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.' Farther, to eat and drink any quality, signifies intimately to partake thereof. 1 Cor. xii. 13. ' Have been all made to drink of one Spirit.' 1 Cor. xi. 29.
