Hindi Gospel 135 years Indian Immigration

In remembrance of 135 year Indian Immigration, hannabaran media productions is presenting a DVD where attention is being asked for the small group of Indian Christians who left India to work in Suriname (South America) on the plantations, after abolition of slavery.
This group of Indian Christians helped to form the Indian-Moravian Church (Susamachar) and the Roman-Catholic Church Rajpur in Suriname.
Their descendants migrated again with the other Indian-Surinamese to the Netherlands, where for a long time they have been considered as the odd outsider. Only recently they are recognized as part of the Indian diaspora. Besides Hinduism and Islam there is also Christianity in India.

The DVD contains 8 hindi, urdu, punjabi gospel songs, performed by Tahira Haider Ali, an Indian gospel singer. Some of the songs are joined with live musicians from the Netherlands, photos from India and Indian classical dance. The story of the dance: Luke 7:38 is being read in hindi. Some visitors give their comments.
THIS DVD IS DEDICATED TO THOSE WHO TAUGHT US HINDI GOSPEL
