'Far Side Banks Of Jordan' Bluegrass Performance From The Petersens
Enjoy a stunning bluegrass performance of ‘Far Side Banks of Jordan’ from The Petersens. Johnny Cash and June Carter made the tune famous in the 1970s. Their iconic duet was a testament to their love for one another and promise to see each one another again in Heaven.
“I'll just rest here on this shore and turn my eyes away
And then you'll come then we'll see paradise”
The Petersens are a family band from Branson, Missouri. This bluegrass ensemble has traveled all around the world sharing their musical talents, but you can normally find them at home in Branson.
For ten seasons, The Petersens have performed at the Little Opry Theatre in the Branson IMAX Entertainment Complex.
Today, they are at Integrity Hills Chapel for a beautiful performance of ‘Far Side Banks of Jordan.’
“And I'll be waiting on the far side banks of Jordan
I'll be waiting drawing pictures in the sand
And when I see you coming I will rise up with a shout!”
On YouTube, the group shared that they originally learned to perform this song for their grandfather’s funeral. “There are so many people who have championed our music and cheered us on that are no longer with us. It is such an encouragement to know that we will see them again on the far side banks of Jordan.”
1 Corinthians 2:9 “But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”

A Prayer for Intentional Friendships and Connection at a New Church - Your Daily Prayer - May 25
When we finally decided to make the change and find a new church, we sat down to talk about the things we were looking for. My heart felt grief wash over again. Aside from wanting a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching church, at the top of my list was wanting a church that desired to truly know its people.
