Man Builds 58 Crosses For Las Vegas Victims

Greg Zanis is a retired carpenter from Aurora, Illinois and for over 20 years he has been bringing the country hope with his handmade crosses. Greg has built crosses for tragedies such as Columbine, Sandy Hook and the Aurora movie theater shootings.

Just days after the Las Vegas shootings, Greg drove into town and arrived with 58 crosses to remember and memorialize the victims. But Greg's selfless act has caused a strain on the family. The crosses are expensive and time-consuming and the family does not have a lot of extra money. It's a tough road, but Greg has continued to try his best to provide for his family while still bringing hope in dark times.

Thankfully, his kindness has not gone unnoticed and the people of Las Vegas wanted to give back to this amazing man. That's when the FOX5 Surprise Squad and community partners teamed up to give Greg something special after he's given others so much. What a beautiful story!
