Top 10 Christian Duet Songs

Christian music is so amazing in all of the forms it takes.  Rap gets you energized!  Metal/Rock gets you focused and pumped up!  Acoustic performers get you pondering God!  Praise/Gospel music gets you out of your seat with your hands in the air!  Whatever music you prefer, you can usually find duets in some of the bands/songs.  I know many duets are more on the contemporary side but I always get goose bumps when a song is sung well by two people in harmony!

Here are 10 of my favorite duet songs!  Enjoy!

10. Another Time Another Place, Sandi Patty and Wayne Watson

This is such a beautiful song and definitely worth checking out!  Sandi’s and Wayne’s voices harmonize really well and the lyrics are so encouraging!  This song is about yearning for Heaven and eternity.  We are here for now, but Glory is just on the other side!

9. The Last Night, John Cooper and Korey Cooper

I love this Song by Skillet!  It is about a girl who wants to commit suicide, but her friend steps in and stays with her so she doesn’t feel alone and so she feels loved too!  This is what a true friendship looks like; we need to stand by our friends in their hardest and darkest times!

8. Faithful Friend, Twila Paris and Steven Curtis Chapman

This is a wonderful song about friendship and how we need to stand with each other and pray for each other!  Being a faithful friend means being there for your loved ones in all things: trials/tribulations or triumphs/celebrations.

7. Glorious Day, Mark Hall and Megan Garrett

This is an amazing song by Casting Crowns!  The Chorus says, “Living, He loved me.  Dying, He saved me.  Buried, He carried my sins far away.  Rising, He justified freely forever.  One day He's coming!  Oh glorious day!  Oh glorious day!”  I get excited every time I hear this song!  Mark and Megan always sing so beautifully together!

6. Beauty For Ashes, Shane Barnard and Shane Everett

Shane and Shane are simply amazing together!  They have written many beautiful duets together and “Beauty For Ashes” is one of them!  This is a song of praise calling on God to save us from a heart of stone and replace it with a garment of praise.  For you guitar enthusiasts, their song “Glory” is just beautiful!

5. Brokenness Aside, David Leonard and Leslie Jordan

These two people make up the band All Sons And Daughters, and they write some really beautiful songs, including this one!  The chorus goes, “‘Cause I am a sinner, If it’s not one thing it’s another.  Caught up in words, tangled in lies.  But You are the Savior and You take brokenness aside and make it beautiful, beautiful.”  They sing this song with grace and beauty but the message is even more beautiful!  Can you relate to it?  I know I can!

4. Friends, Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant

This is such a popular song and is sung at graduations all over the country.  If you haven’t heard this one, please go check it out.  Michael and Amy are amazing together on this one!

3. How Great Thou Art, Carrie Underwood and Vince Gill

This is a very beautiful rendition of the popular hymn.  Carrie does do most of the singing but Vince’s voice really adds to the dynamic of the melody.  They both harmonize really well and make this song one of the best versions ever sung!

2. O Holy Night, Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo

I can’t find a version of this song where they sing the whole thing, but WOW!  They are simply amazing together!

1. The Prayer, Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion

All I can say on this is that it is breathtaking!  Andrea and Celine are just amazing!  The words are so inspiring and to hear these two sing them so effortlessly gives me chills!  The beginning verse says, “I pray You'll be our eyes, and watch us where we go.  And help us to be wise in times when we don't know.  Let this be our prayer when we lose our way.  Lead us to the place.  Guide us with Your grace to a place where we'll be safe.”
