Mom Sacrifices Audition So Her 15-Year-Old Daughter Can Take Her Place On BGT

15-year-old Tia Connolly on BGT thought she was there to support her mother, Claire. However, Claire made an unexpected but loving move, turning the audition for Britain’s Got Talent over so her daughter could take her place.

Most parents would do anything and give up everything for their children. Whatever a child may need, a loving, attentive parent is likely to provide or work to make it happen.

One mother, Claire Connolly, threw everyone for a loop, including the judges, after she walked out on stage and announced her unconventional move. 

“I’m here with me 15-year-old daughter,” Claire said. “She thinks it’s me auditioning. She’s got me through some very hard times in my life. I feel like I owe her and so I’m giving me audition up for me daughter.”

Several of the judges responded with looks of confusion and bewilderment. Claire attempted to clear things up a bit.

“I’m giving up my audition up today for Tia,” she said. “This is my way of saying that she’s fabulous.”

For Tia Connolly, BGT Audition Takes A Leap Of Faith

When it came to Tia, the surprises didn’t stop. The judges learned that for Tia Connolly, to audition on BGT was way outside her comfort zone. As Tia explained to the judges, she usually sings in the shower.

The young woman’s audition is stunning. Her musical talent is very apparent within the first few notes, displaying her outstanding voice. The judges are pleasantly surprised. They all exchange smiles with one another.

While the 15-year-old’s singing is incredible, a very apparent change happens in her right on the stage for all to see. Her entire demeanor changed. As soon as the music started, she instantly transformed into a confident, seasoned performer, someone who appears like they’ve been gracing stages for years.

The BGT judges and the studio audience give Tia Connolly a much-deserved standing ovation!
