Michelle Milton was looking forward to a mini adventure with her brother on a fishing trip. The adventurer and mother of two never expected a simple wound to take over her entire life. While enjoying the great outdoors, she slipped on some rocks, and a fishing line got stuck in her leg.

The Scratch On the Leg is Infected

The scratch quickly spiraled into a nightmarish infection, catapulting Michelle from the tranquil outdoors to the cold confines of the hospital. The intensity of her suffering is palpable as she described the agony of the ‘simple scratch’ that, within days, unleashed a relentless infection. 

Rushed to the hospital as her leg swelled, Michelle's misadventure took a dark turn when doctors discovered the wound's resistance to antibiotics. This set the stage for an excruciating series of 55 surgeries.

Each Day is Marked By Pain 

With a visceral plea, Michelle expressed profound desperation. "I never thought a fishing line could cause so much damage. I just want my leg off,” she said. Each day is marked by unrelenting pain, rendering walking and sitting excruciatingly difficult.

The relentless cutting away at her leg leaves her fearing there will be nothing left of her. But it’s not the pain that haunts her. Michelle wants to return to being a mother, even if that means chopping off her leg.

She Hasn't Felt Like a Mom in Years

With poignant despair, she acknowledged, "I haven't been [a mom] in years. My mom's been doing everything for my kids." Despite their intensity, the treatments have failed to halt the relentless march of the infection. 

In a gut-wrenching reflection, Michelle lamented, "I can't believe a simple scratch has left me like this." Her story serves as a poignant reminder of a misadventure's profound impact on one's life, leaving behind a trail of anguish, desperation, and an intense plea for respite.

Lord, we acknowledge your infinite power and mercy and fervently request a miraculous intervention in Michelle's life. Please, God, extend your healing hand and work a miracle in her body, alleviating her pain and eradicating the source of her suffering.

Grant the medical professionals overseeing her care divine wisdom and discernment, guiding them to the most effective treatments. We beseech you, O Lord, to surround Michelle with your comforting presence, filling her heart with hope and resilience. May your divine light pierce through the darkness of her affliction, bringing forth a miraculous healing that testifies to your boundless grace.

Father, we entrust Michelle into your loving hands, believing in your power to bring forth miracles beyond our understanding. In Jesus' name, we pray, trusting in your compassion and the miraculous healing that only you can provide. Amen.
