8-Year-Old Helps Elderly Woman Climb Stairs

Maurice Adams was riding down the road with this mother when he noticed an elderly woman crossing the road. He watched her as she started trying to climb a set of stairs, and asked her if she could stop the car so he could jump out and go help the woman. The 8-year-old helps elderly woman climb stairs and had no idea that he was being filmed!
Entirely his idea, Maurice walked up to the complete stranger and helped her up the stairs. The woman was struggling on the stairs using her walker until this amazing young boy stepped up to help.“She was struggling so I decided to help her,” Maurice said.
Riley Duncan captured the unsolicited act of kindness on camera and knew he had to share it. “I’m like wow he jumped out to help that elderly lady I was so proud and it made me feel so good and I started crying,” Riley shared with TV news station, WGXA. “With tears, I started recording and it was just so amazing.”
It's not every day that we see such selfless acts of kindness for others from our younger generation.
I know that lots of people probably passed right by this elderly woman without doing a thing, but Maurice decided to stop. This boy is truly an example to all of us about how we should help our neighbors in need, even when no one is looking. As they reached the top of the stairs, the woman and Maurice hugged. "She told him that he’s special,” Maurice's mom shared.
I know this is a moment she won't forget. Who else teared up watching this one?
