Players Are Baffled As Dog Runs Onto Soccer Field During Game And Takes Off With The Ball

In this hilarious animal short story, a cheeky dog runs onto the soccer field in the middle of a game and steals the ball.

We aren’t sure if Rover stepped in to help his beloved team score some extra points or if he couldn’t resist the ball. Either way, the crowd at the soccer game got more than they bargained for with an extra dose of entertainment.

Rumor has it, this dog is a police dog and he got away from his handler. Once he was loose, he went straight for the ball and captured it.

Dog Runs Onto Soccer Field And Steals The Show

When Rover noted the cheers from the crowd and all of his fellow soccer players on the field chasing him, he couldn’t help but think everyone still wanted him to continue to play in the game! At one point he expertly evaded capture by three different players on the field.

A player finally caught hold of him, although the quick pooch was pretty close to scoring a goal too! And once he was back on his leash, viewers of the soccer game booed. They loved his fetch-playing ways.

Eventually, he was escorted off the field. But perhaps we should suggest to his owner that they should consider allowing Rover to switch careers since it seems he can outrun highly trained athletes. 

The video has since gone viral, garnering over 516,000 views, 10,000 likes on Facebook, and close to 1,000 comments from dog lovers and soccer fans. One viewer commented, “Surely the poor dog got tired of watching Blooming’s lousy football and came in to teach them how to play.” 

Another commented, “The best part of the game is someone who has fun playing with the ball!” While another added, “The police handler was probably embarrassed but that's adorable.”

Apparently, not everyone was impressed with their favorite soccer players on the field. But they sure were impressed and amused by Rover’s performance.
