Wife Of Olympian Warns Others After Daughter Drowns

In June of 2018, former Olympic alpine skier Bode Miller and his wife lost their 19-month-old daughter, Emeline. And after such a heart-shattering tragedy, Bode Miller's wife is pleading with other parents to safeguard against the "silent killer" that took their little girl.
Bode Miller and his wife, Morgan, experienced a tragedy no parent ever wants to endure. Their precious 19-month-old daughter drowned in the neighbor's pool.

Morgan and Emeline, or Emmy for short, were over at the neighbor's house visiting. As the adults chatted, Emmy snuck out of the house. And the toddler managed to find her way to the backyard pool.
The second Morgan realized Emmy was missing, she bolted outside. There, she saw every parent's nightmare -- her daughter's body floating in the pool.
Even though Emmy was only in the water for a few minutes, it was too late. They couldn't resuscitate her.
Losing their sweet baby girl, who brought so much joy to their lives, was a devastating blow for Bode and Morgan.
And now, the couple is vowing to make sure the tragedy doesn't happen to other parents. To honor little Emmy, they are working to spread awareness of the dangers of drowning.
Both Bode and Morgan have been sharing photos of Emmy on social media, along with warnings and statistics about the dangers of drowning. In an Instagram post, Bode Miller's wife wrote:
“I pray to God no other parent feels this pain. Drowning is the number one cause of death in children ages 1 to 4.”
This tragedy can happen in an instant. Morgan even called death by drowning a silent killer.
I can’t imagine the pain and heartache that this family is currently experiencing but it’s such an inspiration to see them try to help others during this difficult time. Our hearts go out to the grieving Miller family and any other family that has gone through a tragedy like this. They are certainly in our prayers.
