Distraught Mom Can't Afford Unexpected Baggage Fee But Then A Young Hero Steps Up

When hit with an unexpected baggage fee at the airport, a mom traveling with 3 small children burst into tears. She couldn't pay and didn't know what she and her kids would do. And that's when a young hero stepped up to the counter in this positive news story!

A heartwarming video went viral after a young stranger came to the rescue of a desperate mother.

The mom was headed to London from Ibiza with 3 young children in tow. And anyone who has traveled with 1 small child, let alone 3, knows just how stressful it can be.

To make matters worse, the airline told the struggling mom one of her pieces of luggage was too large for carry-on. As a result, the luggage would cost an extra baggage fee of about $70 -- an expense for which she wasn't prepared.

The children run around their overwhelmed mom as she struggles to process this curveball. Tears fill her eyes and she runs her hands through her hair anxiously. But she doesn't have to fret over the baggage fee for too long because a Good Samaritan comes to the rescue!

Good Samaritan Steps In

A young man sees the mother's distress and doesn't hesitate to jump in and help. He reassures her that it will be alright. Then, this kind stranger steps up to the counter and pays for the baggage fee from his own pocket.

Another passenger stands in awe, filming as the act of kindness unfolds.

"Well done to this young hero," this person shared on Twitter, "for paying the ridiculous Ryanair baggage charges for a distressed mother travelling with 3 kids (who wasn’t getting any leniency from ground staff). The flight from Ibiza to Stansted was half empty, not sure what difference a few cm would make."
