After spending several years on a medical hiatus, singer Avril Lavigne performs 'Head Above Water' live on Honda Stage at Henson Recording Studios. Avril panned the chart-topping single after crying out to God during her health battle. And hearing her sing it live is truly powerful!
Lyme Disease forced After Lavigne into a medical hiatus. And after five years, Avril has finally returned to the music scene!

In this unexpected song from the 34-year-old Canadian singer, Avril leans on her faith and begs God to sustain her in her darkest moment.
This talented musician shares that her battle with Lyme had gotten so severe she truly thought that she was going to die. It was there that she found a renewed moment of faith. And that led to this new song of encouragement for herself and others.

“Head Above Water” is a beautiful piano ballad that allows the lyrics to shine through in a beautiful story. This is such a personal song and a true anthem for those fighting battles.
