John mentioned that he and his wife were frequent collaborators, often producing films and music together. Now he has a specific aim he hopes to accomplish with his latest batch of music, the album We’re Still Us.
“Now that my much, much, much better half is not here but waiting for me, I am trying to honor her professionalism and trying to honor her skill,” he said.
John states that writing the music and singing those songs on his new album “hurt so bad.” Despite the pain in creating the album, John also hopes to help others going through a similar situation.
“But the final product is going to be healing for those who are going through this… statistically speaking, two people get married, one of them is going to die first," he said.
John understands the separation is only temporary and expects to see his wife again in Heaven.
