Those Who Seek You

Those Who Seek You

This song is based off of the events that were taking place in the life of Roger Youderian, a missionary in Ecuador, prior to his being martyred for the faith. Roger was going through a very hard trial, feeling as though he "Failed to measure up as a missionary" and he was about to quit. He was going through a storm and he didn't know why...but then he was asked to help in "Operation Auca." Roger didn't know what to do at first and came to God in earnest prayer. Finally, his night broke way to the morning. As his wife said later, "He was cleansed through the Spirit for the task that lay ahead of him and went with a happy, expectant mind and his heart full of joy.

After this experience, Roger wrote a poem depicting his experience and he actually did not finish it, but this is how it read:

There is a seeking of honest love drawn from a soul storm-tossed,
A seeking for the gain of Christ, to bless the blinded, the beaten, the lost

Those who sought found Heavenly love and were filled with joy divine,
They walk today with Christ above.............

This poem shows the heart of Roger...his soul had been in a storm and it made him seek the love of God, he wanted to share with the blinded, beaten and lost the gain of Christ and he knew that when he, a child of God, sought the love of God he would find it, as it says in Jeremiah 29:13, "You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart."
