Why You Should Have a Stable Environment
The one-place you should feel comfortable, loved, and welcomed is in your own home! Cortez Cornelius can relate to a wonderful, peaceful and stable environment, but his friends cannot. Cortez’s dad works all the time, but his mother is a stay-at-home mom and fills in the gap as a parent to his friends. She encourages his friends by providing food, asking how they are, and questioning them about school.
We should be Christ like, and Cortez and his mom choose to be like this toward his friends by loving them as they love themselves. The bible says “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” (Galatians 5:14). Cortez, along with his mom, loves his friends as God loves them. Cortez is a cool dude!
