Lonely Widow At The Bus Stop Makes A New Friend

It's undoubtedly divine intervention that brought Gemma and Edna together. Roughly 63 years separate the two in age, but what's age among friends anyways? But the young woman has been moving around, seeing the world for roughly the past year. As a world traveler, she's used to meeting all kinds of people. But Edna has to be one of her favorites! Making New Friends

As the two waited for the bus, Edna informed Gemma that she wasn't headed anywhere in particular. The elderly woman was just sort of wandering about in town in order to have something to do. Since losing her husband of 55 years, she was lonely and just wanted to get out of the house.

"It broke my heart thinking of this cute little old lady all alone with no one to talk to," Gemma said. "So I asked for her number so I could come visit her for a cup of tea."

True to her word, Gemma showed up for tea. She even showed Edna how to take her very first selfie! The photo of the unlikely friends went up on Facebook, and in no time was picked up by Love What Matters. From there, the precious pair went viral!

"That's so nice. This young lady was raised right. Bless and her, her family and her new mate. I so love reading stories like this," one woman wrote on Facebook.
