As Neil Diamond sings along to the tune of 'Sweet Caroline', you'll notice the words aren't quite the same. That's because the beloved musician turned his iconic hit into an entertaining public service announcement about handwashing!
'Sweet Caroline' is probably one of the most recognizable songs in modern music.

But during the coronavirus pandemic, Neil Diamond sings a totally different version of his classic hit!
The renowned singer addresses viewers from his home, as he sits beside the fireplace flanked by his cute dog.
“Hi everybody! This is Neil Diamond. And I know we’re going through a rough time right now, but I love ya,” he says. “And I think maybe if we sing together, well, we’ll just feel a little bit better. Give it a try, ok?”
That’s when Neil Diamond starts to play the tune to a song that so many people know like the back of their hand.
'Sweet Caroline' Gets A COVID-19 Makeover
'Sweet Caroline' is one of those songs where you can’t help but sing along.

But as Neil Diamond sings, he's comically given the lyrics an update to help keep safety in mind during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Hands, washing hands, reaching out
Don’t touch me, I won’t touch you
Sweet Caroline, good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined to believe they never would”
What a fun and uplifting video! And Neil Diamond’s voice is as impeccable as it was before. What a true talent he is.
