Christian Artist Matt Maher Performs Jazzy Version of 'Jingle Bells'

Christian Singer / Songwriter Matt Maher is known for his moving worship songs such as 'Because He Lives.' In Maher’s newest Christmas album 'The Advent of Christmas' he grabs hold of many nostalgic holiday classics. He also includes some non-religious pieces. And Matt Maher's Jazzy 'Jingle Bells' is definitely going on repeat in my house!

Matt Maher Remake Is Making Spirits Bright

With a finger-snapping twist harkening back to the 50’s lounge lizard feel, Matt Maher joins with a jazz combo to give us a toe-tapping version of this Christmas classic.

Complete with a darkened set, retro mic, and a sharp looking suit and tie, these gentlemen successfully recreate the fun of holidays gone by with ease.

As the chorus picks up, a jazz violinist joins in the song adding more layers to this creative, swing “Jingle Bells!” Even the band joins in the singing of the chorus and even an unseen banjo joins in the merriment.

It’s one of our favorite songs to belt out this time of year! And now, Matt Maher's jazzy 'Jingle Bells' provides us with a zippy new take on an old-time classic.
