Kathie Lee Gifford Speaks Out With Important Message For Christians

Veteran Television host, author, and singer Kathie Lee Gifford reminds Christians of some powerful truths when speaking with Billy Hallowell on The Billy Hallowell Podcast.

Kathie Lee Gifford may have many accomplishments under her belt. But she's always careful to make sure her faith stays at the forefront of all she does.

In an interview with Billy Hallowell, the Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda host opens up about what it looks like for faith to be present in every moment of her life. 

“The bible says to pray unceasingly. How do we do that?” she asked. “You make your life a prayer, that’s how. With every breath you breathe… its constant awareness of him.”

Opportunities To Share The Gospel

Likewise, Kathie Lee talks about looking for those moments God provides every day to share our faith. She recalled a time when, after Evangelist Billy Graham died, Megyn Kelly asked Kathie Lee how she could be so bold in her faith in the entertainment industry. And Kathie knew just what to say:

“If I had the cure for cancer -- I knew what it was -- would I ever withhold it from anybody? Much less somebody who’s suffering from cancer? Never!”

Kathie Lee's response nods to the urgency captured in James 4:14 where our lives are described as a "mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes." Our time on this earth is brief and our goal as Christians is to share the love of Jesus every chance we get.

Kathie Lee continues on to say, “I feel like I have the cure for the malignancy of the soul and He has a name — and it’s Jesus! And I have to share when I’m given a chance because I don’t want people to not know the freedom they can have in Him.”

Kathie Lee Gifford Reminds Christians Where To Look For Love

The Today Show host goes on to encourage Christians to look for love in all the right places. She says our relationship with the living God is meant to permeate every aspect of our lives.

“We all have malignancies of our soul," Kathie Lee Gifford reminds Christians. "We’re looking for love in all the wrong places, aren’t we? Instead of the very source of love Himself. The One who died so we could know love, true love.”

Kathie Lee recently released a  new children’s book called The Gift That I Can Give for Little Ones, which focuses on teaching kids to understand that God has a plan and gifts for every single person. Gifford hopes that the book can spark conversation between children and adults about such a big topic.
