Most people have cell phones, which they use extensively. And most of the population use their cell phones as an extension of their hand. It’s become a must-have item for most people.

People use their cell phones to check apps, the weather, and social media several times an hour. Occasionally, they are used to communicate with others, most of the time through a quick text message. And even sometimes, believe it or not, phones are used to call someone.

Granny Tricks Would-Be Fraudsters in a Clever Way

Sadly, scammers still use the phone, making calls trying to obtain personal information or trick people out of cash. The elderly are often the prey of these criminals, using stories to confuse and scare them.

A clip posted on social media features a woman in her 90s, who received a call from someone trying to scam her. However, she did not fall into the individual’s trap. Instead, she turned things around, asking them personal questions about their salvation and their beliefs.

The call begins with the 92-year-old woman asking the person on the other end of the line whether they believe in God.

“You believe in God, don’t you?” she asks. “You believe in God?”

She said she believed she would eventually be a part of the rapture, so she did not need whatever the scammer was attempting to sell her. 

The person on the other end must have gotten frustrated with the woman’s discussion of Jesus and the rapture and hung up on her. The clip ends with the woman looking down at her phone as if she lost the connection.
