Adult Film Star Found Jesus, Waited Until Marriage To Have Sex With Husband

You may not think "sexual purity" and "adult film star" would ever fit into the same sentence. But our God can do amazing things. Take Brittni De La Mora as an example. She was living a reckless life as an actress in the adult film industry. But once the former porn star found Jesus, everything changed. And her story is an inspiration for us all. How A Former Adult Film Star Found Jesus

Brittni De La Mora starred in hundreds of adult films under the name Jenna Presley. She was making lots of money and was considered a star in her field. But she was anything but happy.

"I knew that my way in life was not working," Brittni recalled.

That's when she met a member of XXXChurch, an anti-porn organization run by Pastor Craig Gross. Intrigued by the group's presence at an adult-industry convention, Brittni accepted the Jesus Loves Porn Stars literature and Bibles they were handing out.

"My first thought was: ‘Are these people legitimate Christians, because how can Jesus love a porn star?’ " she said. "They were so loving and friendly and welcoming. They actually just handed out the Book of John, but they put their own cool cover on it to make it relatable."

It was Brittni's first step towards redemption.

Being Made New

Once the former porn star found Jesus, she said goodbye to her old life. Leaving the industry wasn't easy. But it was worth it. Brittni found a new home at a church in San Diego.

"I went into Church so broken and had come to the end of myself. I was so far down in life I had nowhere to look but up," she said in a recent blog post.

"As I began reading the Bible, I learned a new way of living," Brittni explained. "I knew God had given me a second chance at life and I wanted to do whatever I could to do it right this time."

Brittni's transformation has never been about forgetting the past. She knows the decisions she made as "Jenna Presley" will always follow her. But just as God transformed Saul to Paul, her story shows God's grace and power is limitless!

“I never get tired of telling my story because every opportunity I get to share it is another opportunity to glorify God,” she says.

Committing To Sexual Purity

After living so far from God's grace, Brittni fully embraced sexual purity. She became celibate, eventually realizing how God was using her conversion to inspire others. Credit: Instagram Her message became,

"Sexual purity is not easy, but it is possible, and if I can do it, so can you."

"I am so grateful that my husband and I chose to honor God over our desires and temptations," she said on her blog. "We did it the right way because we did it God’s way. Because of this I can truly say that I have been blessed with a great marriage. God continues to favor us and bless us with mind blowing opportunities. I say this to encourage you because God is faithful to those whom are faithful to Him."

Helping Others Break Free

Brittni's experience has given her a special heart for those held captive by the adult film industry. And she's well aware of how rampant pornography addiction is today. On her blog, she ministers to those battling to break free.

Brittni knows that personal pain, heartache and trauma are what so often leads to addiction.

"Pornography will not cure a heartache, only Jesus can do that," she says.

This former porn star found Jesus and was forever changed. And on her blog, she posted a prayer and some tips for those battling pornography addictions.

Brittni's Prayer For Addicts

"Father, I am powerless over this addiction, but you are not. I ask that you would forgive me of my sins and heal my broken heart," reads the prayer. "Right now, I forgive all whom have hurt me. Jesus, I make you my Lord and Savior and I pray that you would transform me and restore my purity and innocence to me. I command the spirit of addiction and lust to leave my life now in Jesus name. Lord I thank you because 2 Corinthians 5:17 calls me a new creation in Christ. The old has passed away and the new has come for me. I am a new creation. I am not a product of my past nor my mistakes. In Jesus name, Amen"

Brittni's Tips For Overcoming Pornography Addiction

1)  Get plugged into Church – Make friendships by serving in Ministry. If you’re new to all of this, send me a message & someone from my team can help you out. 2)  Read the Bible – everyday. Pray – everyday. Worship with song – everyday. Google Hillsong United they have great worship music. Ask someone to hold you accountable (a leader in the Church would be a great choice.) 4)  Check out https://www.xxxchurch.com they have a system that will block you from going onto pornographic websites. 5)  This is a great grace filled message, check it out. 6)  Do Not feel ashamed. Jesus died to give us freedom over our mistakes so don’t allow your mistakes to hold you as a prisoner to your past. Walk into your future, and if you slip up, don’t beat yourself up.
