Dolly Parton Stuns Again: Dollywood to Pay 100% of Tuition for Workers Seeking Higher Education
February 16, 2022

Starting on February 24, Dollywood will pay the tuition costs for all their employees pursuing an education. What a generous decision and a way to make high-priced education more accessible to others!

Dollywood is based in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and it is jointly owned by the country music legend Dolly Parton. Dolly is not only known for her music, but also for her kind character and the way she gives back to her community. And this new initiative to pay for Dollywood employees’ educations fits the bill for this singer’s generous heart.
"One of The Dollywood Foundation's key tenets is to 'learn more.' This program is created with that very tenet in mind. We want our hosts to develop themselves through advanced learning to fulfill the foundation's other tenets: care more, dream more, and be more," shared the President of Dollywood Company, Eugene Naughton.
"When our hosts strive to grow themselves, it makes our business and our community a truly better place," Eugene added. "We care about our hosts' development, and we want their future to grow because of love—not loans."

And this education program is not the only thing that Dolly Parton has been working on lately. Some of her latest projects include a beauty business and fragrance, a new production deal with Netflix, and a book she co-authored with James Patterson that will be out on March 7. The book has already inspired an album that Dolly has written 12 songs for.
"I keep dreaming myself into a corner! But I can't stop now,” said Dolly. “I've learned you can't just say, 'Oh, my dream's come true and I'm walking out of here.' No, you've got to show you're grateful and show that you're not going to just leave it all in the hands of other people. So, I'm going to be right here, doing what I'm doing, 'til I fall over dead."
