Woman Left Specific Instructions for the Dishwasher Repairman but He Didn't Listen

Laura's dishwasher stopped working and as most people do when this happens, she called a dishwasher repairman. 

Like most fictional stories, you might not know where this is going to go. But let me continue.

Laura wasn't able to be home to be there for the repairman because she had to work, so she left a note. In the note she said, "I’ll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and I’ll mail you a check." That was a pretty typical thing to say to a dishwasher repairman.

However, she then went on to say, “Oh, by the way, don’t worry about my bulldog, Bob. He won’t bother you. But, whatever you do, do NOT, under ANY circumstances, talk to my parrot! I repeat, do not talk to my parrot!”

She told the dishwasher repairman not to talk to the parrot

Don't talk to the parrot? Well, on the surface that didn't seem like such a difficult request. The dog on the other hand would have been more of a worry. When the dishwasher repairman arrived to her apartment, he saw the meanest bulldog he had ever seen. 

Well, remembering the note Laura left, the dog didn't actually bother the repairman. He just laid there watching him work. 

However, it was the parrot that became an issue. He drove the dishwasher repairman crazy with his yelling, cursing, and name-calling. The repairman tried to ignore the parrot but just couldn't do it. Finally, he yelled at him, "shut up you stupid, ugly bird!"

Uh oh! You are probably thinking. He was clearly not supposed to do that. He should have listened to the note Laura left because the next thing he knew he heard the parrot say, "Get him, Bob!"

I am sure you can guess what happened next! Moral of the story is, if someone leaves you a note about their pets, believe them!
